    I have a problem trying to remove the search and archive bars which are present at the bottom of my courses page.
    When I am in admin they are not visible, even when resizing to all devices, but they are visible in normal browser mode (Opera, firefox, IE,)
    Also my featured item is still duplicating even though I have installed and activated the LABS plugin. (click on the grammar awareness course to see the duplicated image).

    I can’t work either problem out.

    Looks like this is a sidebar being rendered. You can either remove the widgets via the Appearance -> Widgets area on the admin panel. If they sidebar is empty and the area still displays it’s likely a theme feature as some themes output default widgets when none are added by the admin.
