    I’ve tried removing, disabling, enabling and placing back the widget – but no good

    If you are using shortcode to display the news then please make sure that you are using the correct shortcode to display the news, since from version 8.8 onwards the shortcode was changed.

    shortcode for version 8.8 onwards : [news-announcement group=”sample”]

    Have a check with and do let us know if still the issue persists.

    I have a similar issue, my site had some issues a faulty plugin (not this one), I removed all plugins and started reinstalling them one by one until the faulty one was found, I reinstalled your plugin. All looks in place including my list of news events, however the Widget only shows the title.

    I created a blank page and put the following on the page [news-announcement group=”sample”], when the page is viewed nothing is displayed, not even the title.

    I downloaded and installed the latest version.
