• I’m using IE 8. When I go in to edit a post, I’ll scroll down and sometimes the post will scroll back to the top. The same thing happens if I move my mouse outside the text box where the post is located. When I type something, it drops the entire page to where my cursor is solidly planted at the bottom of the text box. And when I copy+paste things, sometimes it scrolls back to the top, sometimes it doesn’t.

Are these all issues with IE8? I don’t seem to have the trouble with Firefox. Is there a fix for it? I can’t upgrade to IE8 because a couple of sites that have programs I have to use don’t support IE9.

Someone suggested that this was a mouse issue, but it does not appear to be. On other sites, I seem to have no problem with random scrolling. And when I move my mouse away from the text and over the windows menu bar, the issue persists. Also, it’s something that occurs even when I’m not moving my mouse and am just typing information into the text box. It will randomly just move back up half the text box. The cursor doesn’t move, but the wall of text does.

I had the same problem so I used a different browser, FF. Upgrading to IE9 made the problem go away but IE9 took some getting used to.

Unfortunately, the computer I’m having this problem on is XP and therefore cannot use IE9. In addition, we’re not permitted to download and install other browsers, so I guess I’m gonna just be annoyed in perpetuity.
