Scroll to top button position

Is there a way to define the z-index position of the scroll button?
I have it set to bottom right with button size 40 and icon size 18.
However, I have a alert notification line at the bottom of the screen, which is partially hiding the scroll button. So I want to move the scroll button up a bit, in CSS.
Any guidance is most appreciated.
