Scripts are not loading

  • Right, for the last couple of days I have been looking through the WordPress support forums as well as on Google to find out why scripts are not loading on my theme that I have made myself, custom-made from scratch.

    When I mean scripts, I mean jQuery, Javascript etc and all those things that are essential for custom themes.

    Basically, when I either try to add a script myself or download a plugin like “Dynamic To Top” to my custom theme, it doesn’t work. However, when I try on the default Twenty Twelve(?) theme, everything works properly.

    I have tried to understand the wp_enqueue and have tried to paste snippets I’ve seen over the internet into my functions.php file, but it still doesn’t work.

    I’d say my WordPress “skills” are intermediate, if that helps you out in any way.

    It’s hard to quite exactly tell you what I need help with, but if anyone thinks they can help me out, I’d really appreciate it!

    Please, anyone? I really need help with this as it’s the only thing stopping me from continuing with me theme.
