I’m a newbie and I set up my site. I wanted to run a job board through indeedjobs. They provide a script. I put that on my site and everything works except the post a job link. The link just loops back to my page.

After much back and forth with indeed, here is what they told me
“You are using a WordPress site. The Post a Job link appends variables to the url of the page, and WP won’t allow that to happen. If you hardcode a page on your site that doesn’t use the wordpress platform, and ended in .html you would not have a problem.”

Is there anything I can do? I’ve been reading and reading and can’t find anything about it. One of their support ppl mentioned that “it is part of the IJS i-frame”

Any help or insight is much appreciated.

  • Hi miz.chellie, I’m not very familiar with what is going on here, but if you can respond back with specific details, I’d be happy to review further.

For example, what is the URL for the “post a job link”?

Any other specific details will be very helpful.

Hello. The link was built with the script that I got from indeed jobs. It has my code after it but I guess that link appended the variables and it would not show.

I found a plug-in for indeed but it did not have certain things I wanted so I wrote to the author and he added them in….yay so I am all set.

I am guessing it is similar to the google+ author link type of thing but since I could not see the link, I couldn’t do anything to fix it..

So I am set. Thanks for answering
