  • Is this “cookie consent script” some plugin you’re using?

Then perhaps what you need to do is post this in the individual plugin’s support forum to bring this to the attention of the developer.

Actually it’s within the theme. It work just fine on current and 5.8 beta 1.

    Actually it’s within the theme.

Then you may want to post in the particular theme’s forum (or contact the developer directly if it’s a commercial theme).

The point I’m trying to make here is that individual theme and plugin developers have the responsibility of tracking the latest changes in the mothership (WordPress) and ensuring their products continue to function as expected.

That’s my theme, using standard wp_enqueue_scripts though. It was fine on beta 1 and 5.7.

While this is a thing that changed in the beta, it’s not the responsibility of Core to fix every single aspect of a theme that isn’t working on beta. That’s why theme devs test ??

You need to report this to the theme.
