    Good morning,

I’m configuring the functionality which allows to block the iframe embed Youtube videos until the cookies have been accepted. In the configuration page, I see only two cookie categories which can be assigned to unlock the content: Statistics and Marketing. Why the Functional cookie categorie is not available for the choice? In my opninion, an embed video is something related to the website functionalities and not to statistics and/or marketing.

I’m using the latest version of the plugin (6.3.9) on WordPress 6.1.1.

Thank you in advance for your clarification
    Regards

    Hi @christian1997,

When you embed YouTube videos on your site, this results a number of non-functional third-party cookies being set (for example, a cookie “YSC” https://cookiedatabase.org/cookie/youtube/ysc/ classified as Marketing).

Therefore you would have to obtain consent to at least the Marketing category in order to load such embeds.

If you enable the default YouTube integration under Complianz > Integrations > Services, the service will be blocked until consent to the “Marketing” category has been obtained. Disabling that integration would no longer block YouTube embeds, therefore essentially indicating it as a “Functional” service (as the Functional category is always active).

    Kind regards, Jarno
