    Hi!

since a few days, I encounter problems with older posts that use the “SiteOrigin Editor” widget. The problem occurs, when there is a script inside the widget. The script seems to be omitted and the functionality of the post is broken.

If I use the standard text widget, I don’t have a problem to put scripts into the widget. The script is loaded and the page works fine.

Did you change something recently? The problem seems to be very new (like max. 3 days).

Thanks a lot for any idea about the issue!

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

The sanitization in the Editor has been adjusted and updated. You can download a patched version of Widgets Bundle that resolves this issue by clicking here.

    Before proceeding, do a backup.

Navigate to Plugins > installed Plugins and deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Scroll to the top of the page, and click Add New, Upload Plugin. Upload so-widgets-bundle.1.58.9-beta.zip and when prompted activate it.

    Thanks

    Andrew

Nice, it works again! Thanks for the fast-than-light-solution!

So it wasn’t the Page builder itself but the widget bundle that caused the error? Sorry for posting this in the wrong support forum. I am using both plugins for years now and I don’t remember which functionality comes with which plugin…

Hi, thanks for confirming. A release is out for the Widgets Bundle. Data sanization was increased in the Widgets Bundle; the most recent update resolves the script/shortcode issue for users with the appropriate level of access privileges. Please let us know if any follow-up queries or requests arise.

    Cheers, Andrew
