Screen size adjust

When a screen isn’t wide enough to view both the main column and the widget column, the widget column vanishes entirely. You can’t scroll to look at it, nor does it appear at the bottom of the screen like some sites do. Is there a fix for this? People on tablets can’t get the widget column. (I’ve removed the menu entirely because it kept ending up in weird places depending on screen size)
