Hi – When I search for an ‘item’ that is a product (Woocommerce) when I click on the link in the search results, or when clicking on a link on a category page – the new window opens and displays the content about halfway down the ‘page’.

    Help?

For the moment I have disabled the plugin which is frustrating as I need to track data and events.

    Hi @gemini23,

Can you share a link to the page?

btw, are you using WooCommerce Product Search?

    Thanks,

Thanks Yuvalo, for the moment I have disabled the plugin as it is a live site with many visitors…

    How to resolve?
Would this track events in GA4 or would additonal settings need to be made in GA4?

Thanks, that helped us identify the problem.

I will see if we can release a quick fix for this.

Yes – this has fixed the ‘auto-scross down issue – does this handle events in GA4?

    Hi @gemini23

Glad to hear it solved the auto-scroll down issue.

I’m not sure I understand the question though.

The plugin will integrate GA4 with your website, so everything that comes out of the box in GA4 will be tracked.

Other than that, I see that you enabled link tracking which you should already see.
The plugin also allows you to set up custom event tracking. Can you tell me more about what you are planning to track with GA4?

btw, can I mark this a resolved?

Thanks – I previously set up click on events (with your previous plugin) and this worked great in Google UA, I am not sure what I have to do to set up the events for GA4. All of the previous UA a-class ‘xyz’ are still in place.

Essentially, I have two types of events to be tracked..
    1. Top right image – I sometimes swap this – so, one of two.
    2. and urls like this one https://www.londontheatre1.com/theatre/the-alexandra-birmingham/ also has an event click within the text. about 50 different urls.

    Got you.

The plugin works in a similar way, but you will have to change the structure of the events.

In UA, events had a a “category, action, label, value” fields.

In GA4, you have an event name and parameters ( a set of key-value pairs).

Do you have an export of the old plugin’s settings? I may be able to suggest a way to migrate it.

Hm.. “Do you have an export of the old plugin’s settings? I may be able to suggest a way to migrate it.”
    I don’t know how to do this…

If you would prefer to contact via website contact where email is… not sure if you can message here… ‘happy’ to pay for some technical support with implementing.
