When an error occurs on the page with Name and Email (field left blank or email not in the right format), no announcement is made to screen reader users.

    Hello @benqwerty,

Good news! We recently released a new version of the plugin that includes improvements to the accessibility and screen reader support.

Could you upgrade to the latest version (1.4.4.4) and let me know if the issue with the Name and Email fields is fixed?

    Thanks!

Thanks for making the update. The first time the user activates the “Book this appointment” button, no errors are reported by the screen reader. If the button is activated a second time (or third, fourth) then the announcement is made. The problem seems to be due to the first press of the button not moving focus to the Name input. Subsequent presses do move focus.

@benqwerty Thanks for the additional feedback, our developers are going to test it again and make any necessary changes.

Sorry about all the back and forth, we want to get this fixed, and we appreciate your patience!

@benqwerty Our developers were able to look into this again. This time they made sure the errors were triggered on the fields before it tries to put focus on them.

These changes should be included in our next release, make sure to be on the lookout for that and let us know if those changes work better on the screen readers!

    Thanks,

Hi @benqwerty can you please update to SSA v 1.4.4.7 (just released) when you get a chance and let us know if that improves the experience on screen readers?

    Thanks!
