    Hi all,

So I have two WordPress sites, both use custom fields. On the one I pulled down the screen options tab and checked for custom fields to be shown. On the other one this screen options tab is no where to be seen? I changed back to the Twenty Ten Theme and it still wasn’t there?

Any ideas would be great, starting to panic!

    Thanks all!

    Jess

Im having the same problem. In the place where the screen options tab used to be, there’s now a big banner ad for Jetpack.

Can someone advise how to make the screen options tab visible again?

    Thanks!

i would assume that jetpack has to provide an option to switch the advertising banner off.

    Hi

I had to sign up for Jetpack, by registering the site with WordPress, and then the banner went away, revealing the Screen Options tab.

Pretty cumbersome. And a bit uncool, being forced to sign up for a feature like that, but at least it worked.

Thanks all, disabling the JetPack plugin got rid of the banner and my screen options are back ??

    Hi again

Is there a simple way to disable the banner, short of signing up for Jetpack?

Id rather not have to go through the whole Jetpack registration deal every time I build a new WordPress site!

Willamato, go into plugins and press deactivate. That gets rid of the banner ??
