Screen Options not showing/elapsing on posts/pages

Some people have previously reported that they couldn’t open the Screen Options tab due to some CSS/JavaScript code in their themes.

Thanks for your quick response. Iam using REHub Theme. But even if i change to 2022-Standard Theme the problem remains.

Oh, I see… and to be sure, which browser are you using? And does this happen in other browsers too?

If it does, the next thing we could try is to open the JavaScript console in your developer tools and see if the click throws an error. Let me know if you need help with this part.

iam using chrome and even if i change to mozilla/firefox or even edge the problem remains. I already tried that. Also the JavaScript Console is empty. It’s just saying: JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.3.2. That’s it.

How can we fix this?

Honestly, I don’t know what it can be, I’m sorry. I can’t reproduce the problem with a fresh WordPress install.

I’ve found several threads online that point out that some plugins could be responsible for this problem, but you said you have disabled all of them. Also, I just read this discussion that mentions your problem and JQMIGRATE… in that case, the problem was the theme, but you said you have switched to a different one. You also used different browsers, so that means the bug is not related to your browser extensions.

I would double-check all of those things just to make sure because I think it has to be something related to either plugins or themes (or a combination)… otherwise a lot of people would have reported the same issue.

I’m having the same problem. Tried disabling all the plugins, and different browsers, but no luck.

I DID notice that there’s no “APPLY” blue button in the lower left of the Screen Options dropdown console –?on Post edit screens. However it IS present for Pages.
