    Hi,

I couldn’t find any solution to the problem we have on the KB or Support Forums so that’s why i started this topic.

As you can see in this screenshot: https://prntscr.com/i5wgox we are missing the checkboxes for the yoast seo display on the Pages page. On a page itself everything works just not on the listing page of all the pages in our website.

    What can cause this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Alan

@vhwebvision That is strange behavior if the functions are working on the pages but don’t display on the Pages screen options. This may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Hi,

Thanks for the response! I will try these things but I have a more urgent issue right now that I found out.

In Yoast we have selected for the /category/ to be removed from the URL’s (screenshot: https://prntscr.com/i8az33). It works perfect: screenshot: https://prntscr.com/i8azeq.

However, we want to translate our website and have always used qTranslateX for that. Always worked like a charm. Except now, the moment we enable this plugin the /category/ gets added again, see screen: https://prntscr.com/i8b01t.

I looked through the settings of both qTranslateX and Yoast but I couldn’t find an issue.

Can you please help me on this one as it’s quite crucial that the /category/ stays removed.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,

    Alan

    Hello Alan,

If you are using qTranslate X, you may try installing this plugin as recommended by the developer of qTranslate X.

If you install this plugin, does this resolve the issue?

    Hi Micheal,

I already had that installed, unfortunately didn’t make a difference..

    Hi,

Update: the qTranslate slug is causing the problem, when this is turned on /category/ appears in the site, when its off, its not there.

Update 2: the meta boxes appeared again in the page list. So that is fixed.

We do need the slug to be translated too so it would be nice to hear if there is a fix for that!

    Regards,

    Alan

Yoast SEO isn’t fully compatible with the qTranslateX plugin. We recommend you switching to another multilingual plugin to translate your site.

In regards to the slug translation, we recommend you please open a new thread for a new topic.

Unfortunately we will stick to Qtranslate as this is the best one so far we’ve tested, also never had problems alongside YOAST untill now with the /category.

Do I need to open a new thread here or at Qtranslate support?

If you’re wanting to translate the slug using the qTranslate-X plugin, please open a new thread over at qTranslate-X plugin support forum.
