Scraper says “FB App ID missing” but it’s there

None of our images on FB are showing up, despite having created an app some time ago and putting in the app ID and secret for the plugin. The app isn’t public, so I even tried making it public (had to add a privacy policy), but that didn’t help either. Not sure what else to do, so if anyone can suggest something, I’d appreciate it.
