    Hi,

I cannot save in the dashboard file editor. Appearance>File Editor.

When trying to save, I get this error – “Scrape nonce check failed. Please try again”.

Deactivating the W3 plugin resolves the issue. My research shows it is a cache issue, but i’ve tried toggling on and off the various cache types and cannot resolve the issue. Only deactivating works.

    Can someone help please?

    Hello @jdpfresh
I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve tried to replicate this issue but failed to do so. I am not sure how this is related to W3 Total Cache.
When did this issue start to occur? Have you made any recent changes on your host?
Are you using Cloudflare by nay Chance?
Have you tried disabling other plugins while W3 Total Cache is active and see if some other plugin may be causing the conflict?
    Thanks!

Disabling W3 plugin resolves the issue so its definitely W3.

The problem started occurring when we adjusted our caching policies. Now we get the error regardless of any setting on the plugin unless we deactivate.

    No cloudflare
Yes we have tried plugin disabling, W3 is the culprit.

Please help. Let me know what else I can provide.

    UPDATE:

Issue resolved. It was from enabling fragment caching without properly setting it up via these docs: https://github.com/W3EDGE/w3-total-cache/wiki/FAQ:-Developers#what-is-page-fragment-cache

Resolution is to set up fragment caching correctly or not use fragment cache. We opted to turn off fragment caching in favor of just object cache.

    Thank you
