    I have edited the upgrade.php to set up a set list of pages when a new user signs up, but having a problem with one of the pages its has a shortcode on it and nothing else but when is createing page is removing the shortcode and replacing [] with ” anyone know how to set it so that the shortcode works?

  • In your code, perhaps you could try to replace the [] with html

    [ = [
    ] = ]

    managed to sort the ” problems but will not inserct shortcode into new page when creating site?

    Yes, I think all you need to do to get the shortcode is to replace the quare brackets with the html-code that replaces them.

    So, if you shortcode is f.ex. [somecode], you can write “& #91;somecode& #93;” without space after the &

    I hope this helps, I’m not entirely certain I understand your question well enough.

    If this would not work, perhaps you could try with a plugin that makes sure WP does not replace any code.
