School Network: I want no LIVE PAGES anywhere…

  • Because of school rules, I may not have any student web/blog pages LIVE at any time.

    Dreamweaver worked well for this school rule. My students simply selected no server technology and selected local site development causing every page developed to reside in (saved to) the student’s folder (login account) on the server).

    To be clear regarding “local” term; I do not want the pages live. When I say “local” I mean that the student’s files are saved to the student’s account.

    Question
    Is there an install that will provide a similar configuration? Where may I find the installation information?

    Server: Windows 2003 Server
    Workstation: Windows 7 Enterprise

    WordPress is sort of designed to have live pages all the time.

    What do you mean by ‘live’? Can the pages be viewable by logged in users or…?
