    Hello Pmantovani,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your site’s schema.

If you have set the Page type to Profile Page, the page represents a person or user. The Yoast SEO plugin will out the ProfilePage schema as defined in https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/pieces/webpage#profile-pages

If you have a page where this is not the case, do you care to share?

Hi @maybellyne and thank you very much for your reply.
An example of a page from our company website that I’ve setup as profile page:
    https://www.develer.com/chi-siamo/pietro-mantovani/
From what I see in the JSON copde, for example, Yoast gets the “name” from the meta tag title and the “description” from the meta description:

name	Pietro Mantovani | Team | Develer
description	Pietro Mantovani joins the Develer team. Take a look at Pietro Mantovani ’s page, his expertise and the projects he has been involved.

Although maybe in the case I would need the person chema, that it is not available in Yaost.

Thanks for providing the example. I check the URL in the rich result test tool and schema validator and can confirm that there are no errors/warnings relating to ProfilePage schema.

You mentioned that the Yoast SEO plugin gets the “name” from the meta tag title and the “description” from the meta description. Do you mean that the name and description is incorrect?

Hi @maybellyne , let me point out that I THINK that Yoast SEO plugin gets the “name” from the meta tag title and the “description” from the meta description.
And yes, sadly in my case it’s not ideal, because the name should be:
    Pietro Mantovani
    And not
Pietro Mantovani | Team | Develer
And as I’ve told you, I think Yoast SEO should implement a “person” schema, that would be much appropriate.

    Hello Pietro,

I am sorry it took a while to get back to you. So, I spoke with our in-house SEO experts and there has been some misinformation.

Setting the pagetype to ProfilePage just alters the WebPage page type. It won’t automagically output information about a person. Instead there are two options:
    1. Use WordPress native user profile pages, where we already automatically output all of the relevant Person schema.
    2. Use our API to alter the output on the page to meet your needs.

    Thank you.
