• Hi, I am not sure where I should post this. But, I am wondering what is the best way to deal with Schema to get articles to appear in Google Snippets. I was using rankmath but it does not seem to work and they have said google just picks the snippets and you do not need a plugin but i have heard other people say you need a plugin and you need to set it up correctly.

Can anyone please let me know how to deal with the schema problem to try and get articles to appear in snippets. I am really confused at the moment

Google does what it wants. You do not have much control over what it decides to do. However, you can help “guide it” to the results you prefer through structured data. If you have well crafted LD-JSON structured data, its description field will be more likely to become the page’s snippet. There’s no guarantee though.

There are a number of structured data plugins. While they help by providing a mechanism to add structure data, it is the quality of the structured data that will make the difference.

Note that a number of SEO plugins provide Open Graph tags that help with appearance in social media. This is not the same as LD-JSON structured data that Google likes to see.
