• Hi everyone this is my first time on these forums so apologies if this has already been addressed. I’m super excited to be using wordpress and have found it to be pretty straightforward even for a total newbie like myself. One problem I’ve had though is with the scheduling feature.
I create a new page and publish it with no problem. Then I make a change to the page and use the scheduling feature to schedule when the change will go into effect– lets say 4 hours from now. I hit the ‘schedule button’ and all seems well. If I navigate to the site on a windows computer after lets say, one hour, I will still see the ‘old’ page. If I navigate to the page on an ipad or iphone with safari though, I will always get a “oops this is embarrassing” page not found kind of error. Once the four hours are up though, the page will update and navigating to it on all devices will reveal the changed page.
Not having a mac, Im not sure if it is a safari thing or an iOS thing. All I know is that it is completely preventing me from using the wonderful scheduling feature so any help would be greatly appreciated!!
(If anyone wants to see the broken page, I have set up a change to a page that is scheduled for Sept 10th so anyone going to intheboatcomic.com/test-page/ on an ipad or iphone should be able to see the error message.)
