I’ve been trying to figure this out for hours to no avail. I’ve set up the schedule, but I have no idea where the shortcode is supposed to go, which shortcode to use, and I’ve looked at all of the documentation listed. I’m not the most tech savvy, but if you tell me specifically how to set this up, I should be fine. Thanks.

    Hi willi351,
Thanks for writing. I’m not sure what shortcode you are trying to use, but to add a shortcode, you put the desired incantation on a page in the TEXT tab, not the VISUAL tab. There are a number of samples you can model on the MSTW Development Site. If you can send me a link to a page on your site where the shortcode is ‘not working’, I might be able to give you some more specific help.

    Regards,

That’s the thing, I don’t know for certain where to place the shortcode. It’s almost as if I need a step-by-step of exactly what to do after the schedule is set. Are you saying I’m supposed to create a “page”? This may be where the confusion is setting. All I’ve done was gone to “schedules & scoreboards” created the teams, schedule, etc. So, am I to create a “new page” with the shortcode? If so, I was not aware of this, please explain. Thanks.

Right. Assuming you want a schedule table to appear on a page, you have to create a new page or add the shortcode to an existing page wherever you want it to appear.

Ok, not sure if this is what I need then. I need something to post visually on the homepage of my site showing the football schedule, not in an isolated page. If I am wrong on this let me know, if not, thanks for your prompt assistance.

Okay, so first GAME SCHEDULES has been replaced by MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards and is no longer supported. So switch to MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards; it has a lot more features. [If you have a lot of data entered, you can install MSTW CSV Exporter, export the data to CSV files, and import it into Schedules and scoreboards. If it’s not that much, just re-enter it. Whatever suits you best.] Then we can move forward on the same page.

Next, “home pages” are just pages, so yes, you can add the shortcode wherever you want the schedule to appear on your home page. You can also add the schedule table widget and the countdown timer widget to a nav bar on any page, including the home page.

    Hope this helps.
