I am using WooCommerce and have set scheduled sales on many products. However when the time came, they didn’t start running the sale. I had to go back into each product and manually update the page for it to take effect.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

  • Yes I have deactivated every single pluggin then reactivated Woocommerce and it still did not work.

By any chance did you guys try installing the plugins Mike suggested to see if the proper WooCommerce crons are running?

There’s also WP Crontrol, which is more up to date. If you install it, you can then go to Tools > Cron Events to see all scheduled cron events. The one you are looking for is woocommerce_scheduled_sales.

If the Next Run time for that cron is in the past, it may just be a simple error. For that line, click Run Now, then check to see if your scheduled sales that have past dates have been turned off. If the sales have not been corrected, there may be another problem.

    Let us know the results.

Same problem here, if I enter today’s date (or past date) for the start of sale and update the product then the prices change, obviously this does not wait for the cron to set the sale on or off.
I took Jesse’s advice and checked the Cron Events with WP Control , the event is there and set to go once a day (which was 9 hours away) and when I “Run Now” I get “Successfully executed the cron event woocommerce_scheduled_sales” yet the sale still is not on (or off).

    Any ideas?

    Same problem here!
The products are still on offer, even when the scheduled date is already past..

    Any help, someone?

This is getting aggravating, I ended up changing to jigoshop, which I did not really like but then for no apparent reason it crashed my site. So I had tested woocommerce on a clean install and it worked so I ran it on my live site and the sale seemed to be changing over but it seemed to take 2 days instead of one. (I give away a free embroidery design every day). Yesterday I updated the plugin and the sale item has not changed I installed wp control plugin and initially it showed the cron job so i clicked run now and the product that was supposed to be on sale came on sale, but I wanted to manually add the one that was missed so I went into that product put the dates in and updated it, but that product is not on sale despite manually updating it. I then went back into wp control and the cron job is not there but it is in debug cron. I tried manually added the cron job to wp control which also had no effect. I have no idea what to do next. very frustrating.

embroideryallsorts sorry to hear that. Maybe you should get an expert to fix your cron jobs, since plugins you use in the future will likely break should they need cron. It’s quite important.

    Good luck.
