Scheduled Revisions on post are not working

I’m using this in conjunction with The Events Calendar.
All events are in a calendar and they only show up on the homepage a day before it happens. I try to schedule it so that it displays on the homepage at 4am but nothing happens. Does it only work with “content” changes?
