scheduled posts publishing 1 minute late

  • I have a website where I need to be scheduling posts to appear at 12 noon precisely.

    When I schedule posts to appear at this time, they don’t actually appear until 12:01

    Now I know one solution would be to publish the post at 11:59 but can anyone:

    A. Explain why posts don’t publish at the time they are scheduled for?

    B. Is there any way to make them publish at their scheduled time?

    Hi,

    There could be multiple reasons for this, for example there might not have been a visitor to your site at noon exactly to trigger the post to publish, or the time on your server might be off (since it’s all based off server time, not -your- time).

    These are the two most likely reasons for this.
