I have WP Version 4.6.1 and Jetpack Version 4.3.2 installed. My site is hosted on BlueHost (most recent update I was informed of was 10/6 so shouldn’t be relevant.) My website is sacredpilgrim.com.

Since 10/31, I’ve started having problems with scheduled posts not being pushed out via Publicize. I have posts scheduled to publish once per weekday with two on Monday, and I’ve never had any problems until now. After uninstalling and reinstalling Jetpack per forum suggestions, the problem appeared to be resolved. But then starting with posts scheduled for 11/7, Publicize did not work again, and this time emails also did not go out to subscribers (I’m subscribed to my own site.), though the RSS feed was still updated per usual, and iTunes was still updating daily. (My posts are week-daily podcast episodes.) I had not changed any settings in WordPress or done anything differently than usual, and when I went to the WordPress dashboard or check the posts’ settings, everything looked normal, says was published on time, social media links are working, etc.

For the last two days, it is now giving me a “missed schedule” error and not publishing the scheduled post at all, so I have to manually publish the post. When I do, the emails go out, and the posts are pushed out via Publicize. Also the RSS feed is updating after I publish manually, but the posts are no longer showing up in iTunes. I’ve looked through the forums for a solution, but I’m not a coder and don’t understand all the suggestions. For example, I installed WP Control today per one forum’s suggestion but then didn’t really know what to do with it. I’ve asked Jetpack for support directly since this started with no response. The problem seems to be getting worse, not better. Please help!

The developers and users of this theme/plugin would be the best people to ask. You can reach them here:

Thanks for the quick reply, Steve. As I mentioned, I’ve already contacted Jetpack directly and have received no response. Are you saying there is no one else who can suggest anything to help me? This is not a WordPress-related issue?

Also, if anyone has ideas about how to fix the iTunes issue, that would be much appreciated as most of my listeners get the podcast via iTunes Podcast app. All the solutions I’ve found on the forums apply to new episodes not showing up in the iTunes store even though current subscribers still get new episodes immediately. In my case, it’s not updating at all (I’m subscribed to my own podcast). I did just now go to iTunes and request to refresh my feed, which iTunes says can take up to 24 hours, so maybe that will help; however, that fix was suggested just for the iTunes store not updating, not for missing episodes for current subscribers. In case it’s relevant, my podcast is also on Stitcher, which is currently only one day behind (has yesterday’s episode but not today’s, both missed schedule and manually published on WP). I’d really like to get this resolved soon but don’t know where to start!

Hi again, Jetpack finally got back to me and said the problem I’m having is not related to Jetpack. They suggested I check with BlueHost, which I did, and like I thought they have not made any changes. Help!

What I understand is that publicize has nothing to do with iTunes. iTunes uses the site’s RSS feed.
