On one of my client’s sites, email notifications of blog posts that are scheduled are not being sent. However, email notifications of blog posts that are published immediately ARE being correctly sent. My client is using the free version of Jetpack. Would she need to purchase a plan in order for these scheduled post notifications to work, or is this something that can be fixed, perhaps a server setting needs adjusting? Thanks for any tips.

Update – Now, 2.5 hours past the scheduled time, the blog post is magically appearing on the blog and says “Published” as the status. It no longer says “Missed schedule.” But I did not receive a notification from Jetpack. The post in question is titled “Peace for all of us.”

Do you think that installing the plugin “Missed Scheduled Posts Publisher” may correct this issue?

Hello there – you may try that plugin but I think there might be something else installed on your site creating the issue because in our testing there is no such issues.

Also, we recently fixed one ongoing issue with the newsletter notification – could you please repeat the test again to see if the issue is still there?

We scheduled a blog post for this morning at 4am PST and again, it failed to post on time so no notifications went out. I am installing the Missed Scheduled Posts Publisher plugin now and we will schedule another post for 4am tomorrow and see what happens.

    Hi @hollykny,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

Thanks for checking in. I installed the plugin as mentioned above, and the scheduled post still did not trigger a notification. We got in touch with the hosting company, who told us:

“I am afraid to inform that Jetpack is for old account and in new interface there is no jetpack.”

That’s all they said and we don’t understand what that means, because you were able to see from your end that it seems to be connected, and on our end in the WP dashboard it also says it’s connected.

    Hi @hollykny

Thank you so much for patiently waiting for a response!

Unfortunately, that message from your hosting company is indeed confusing as Jetpack is installed and connected.

As a next step here, we’ll need you disable all plugins other than Jetpack and then try scheduling a post to see if a notification is sent. This will help rule out a conflict coming from another plugin.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi @a11n – Thanks for following up. My client and I have decided to not pursue this any further as we can’t seem to figure out what is causing the issue. She will just publish posts manually. Thanks to your team here, though, for trying to help us out over the past few months!
