I’ve installed version 1.4.3 to a new WP installation.

The forced backups to FTP work absolutely fine. However, whenever I schedule the backup it never completes and no data is sent to the FTP server. In this state if I then force another backup the scheduled one is cancelled and the forced backup proceeds.

Is there anything I can check to see why the scheduled backup shouldn’t complete?

First, how long do you wait ?
second, how many user visits you site per day ?

Thanks for getting back so quickly.

The last backup was scheduled for Saturday midnight and I checked this morning. So it had been stuck for about 33 hours. Whenever I force a backup it lasts only a matter of seconds (6-8s).

I have the size of the backup pretty small so only a single file is created. Also as the website has very little content the file is just less than 2mb.

Additionally, the site isn’t attracting traffic yet as I work on it. So only has me visiting through the working day. The backup is scheduled at midnight so isn’t getting any hits at that time.

Then it is normal… each visitor enable a piece of the backup process to be done…
If there is no traffic, the schedule backup process wont’t occur.
If there is very little traffic, the backup will be very long…

Every thing is explained in the FAQ

    Thanks again.

I must have missed that in the FAQs.

Yesterday I forced a large number of changes to the website. However, the scheduled backup failed to complete again. In the “backup” tab of the admin area it showed that the SQL part of the backup hadn’t completed and was only about 2/3rds done.

Is there a way I can get any extra logging information out. Each time I’ve viewed the log in the Seldex directory it has only shown the forced backups.

Could you give me an access to you admin part ?
You can contact me (privately) through the feedback tab of the configuration page of the plugin in your admin panel
