@khurtwilliams can you give me sine more insights of you installation? Do you maybe use plugins that might change the default behavior of the Post-Scheduling? Do you use the classic-editor?

On a clean setup without other plugins installed, I can’t reproduce the issue ??

    Yes, thanks for asking ??

I would assume that the classic editor does something different with the post states. I will run some tests, thanks for your infos!

@khurtwilliams it seems that you use the “Publish to Schedule” plugin!?! and this plugin does weird magic and one of this magic things is to set the state to “publish” (even if only for a short time) and this triggers the federation process.

    (@khurtwilliams)

Sigh. I am just trying to remove as much friction as possible from posting. I tend to write in bursts.I don’t think readers want to see 10-15 posts in their RSS feed all at once. And WordPress does not have a visual scheduler. So … what’s the solution?

    Plugin Author Matthias Pfefferle

    (@pfefferle)

I totally understand that, the problem is, that the plugin is checking for a status change to publish and it’s hard to see if this is temporary or not. I will see if we can add a check short before the post is federated. I hope this will not break anything else!
