Schedule posts not posting

I’ve searched the forums for an answer for this and tried many things I’ve found … and nothing.
So the other day, a post I scheduled didn’t post. I went to make sure I had it scheduled and I had — but it had a red “Missed Schedule” thing next to it. I ended up posting it late (which stinks as it was a challenge).
It’s continued ever since and I can’t figure out why.
This didn’t come directly after any updates, either. It just started happening. And it’s not a web browser or anything as it’s just not scheduling. It was working the day before and then … poof, the ability was gone. Nothing has changed on my website since it worked.
I went and found the missed posts plugin and that seemed to work today, but it doesn’t make sure things go out to social media, such as when the “scheduled posts” part of WordPress was actually working.
Any help on this? Please and thank you.
