It also looks like the scheduled post after being published now has a different post ID.

Is this normal? It seems to be breaking certain ID related functionality on my site for these posts.

    Thanks again.

    Hi bravewhale,

    this should not be happening.

My assumption would be that another plugin is interfering with the updates of your content.

Are you using any plugin that adds multilanguage functionality to wordpress, such as WPML or polylang?

    There’s no translation plugin installed.

Due to a time deadline I had to move ahead and just manually fixed the problem posts. So did not have time to troubleshoot this and test out different scenarios.

I will try to make some time to test it myself and will let you know if I discover anything.

    Thanks!

I installed tao-schedule-update today, and have the same problem as reported by bravewhale, with the permalink adding a “-2” for a scheduled post. (I haven’t published the post, so there’s no link to show for it.)

I don’t know the language settings for my other activated plugins.

If the post isn’t published yet that’s expected behaviour.

The problem bravewhale is having happens after the post has been published.
