Schedule not working

  • Hi,

    First of all thanks for this great plugin and for letting us use it for free!

    Regarding my problem I really can’t make it work with more tips added manually. It always showing only the first tip in the list that match the group.
    Even if i use only Display Date or Display Day it just don’t take that tip.

    There is anything that I can do?
    Did you hade this problem before?

    Hi there,

    actually i had misunderstood the problem.
    The plugin is designed to display a single tip throughout the day.
    We have not included provision to display more than one tip per day.
    Hence the name daily tip.

    Hi,
    I am having the same problem, I have set more tips to display in a same group (group name Astro) and i have set them to change on specific dates. I used the [stdailytip group=”Astro”] shortcode on the page, but the plugin shows only the first tip in the group (which is set on 2013-12-08) and the one after that (which is set on 2013-12-09) is not shown. Even the one on 2013-12-10 (today) is not shown but only the first tip of the group.
    What can I be doing wrong?

    For me it is the schedule that is not working.

    Trying to display one tip a day.

    One tip will display until about 7 pm and then it jumps to the next day. However, the current day isn’t over… so it then displays nothing.

    Then following day I need to manually change the date back to the current year in order for the date to display. However, the problem happens again around 7 PM.

    Anyone have a fix for this?

    Hi Tnoy,

    The problem with you could be the Timezone.
    Kindly check the timezone of wordpress in Settings

    It must match your local timezone.

    Thanks for the response.

    Changing the time zone does not appear to have worked as the tip is not being displayed again unless I re-set the date for 2014 and turn off the “Repeat Yearly” option. However, by changing the time zone to our current time zone the problem is now happening in the morning as opposed to the afternoon.

    I wonder if “the date bug” addressed in this post is still the issue:

    The site I’m working with is https://www.heutmaker.info

    The widget is placed on the sidebar under the header “Quote of the Day”.

    Any idea what the problem is?

    Hi Tony,

    I have done some bug fixes in version 2.0 that I have uploaded today.
    I am not sure if this fixes will solve this problem or not.
