    hi everyone.Sorry if it’s a long post.
i need to make a site where researchers can submit their journals.
basically,he/she will log-in ,see a list of category like
    Optical Electronics for january 2014
    Semiconductor tech Monthly etc etc
he will select any category and see a form to submit the journal in doc or pdf.in the form there will be Name,Institution,Collaborator etc and of course upload fields.

The admin will review the submitted journals and publish some of them, according to category.
Now there must be some file submission plugin that can do this. But my concern is the custom fields in the submission form and category. The categories will be updated regularly.
Can someone point me to a good plugin?I’m inspired by the ScholarOne manuscript https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/commag-ieee
Thank you. This is a non-commercial project for me.

okay i found a great alternative open journal systems!

Sorry for bumping the post, but I also was trying the same (to use WordPress as Software). I found this article very useful – https://www.darkmatter101.org/site/2009/12/06/wordpress-as-academic-journal-software/ (whole website is Journal with ISSN). Moreover there are more plugins now. There is Google Scholar Plugin too. There are premium plugins to submit content.

As basically we are WordPress users, after testing OJS on my free health foundation, I can definitely say WordPress is the best choice for anything. OJS is unusable after using WP for 5+ years.

    Any developers view is welcome.
