• Last time I updated this plugin I lost the complete layout, and had to use waybackmachine to restore it back to what it was. This plugin requires a export layout and content feature. Sadly I am to busy to recreate the layout in html to drop the plugin.

I have received word from plugin author (quickly) to assure me that it was a plugin conflict and there is DB revisions for the data. I have updated the plugin without any issues.

    Hi @bnightwolf

Very sorry to hear you lost your content last time you updated Page Builder. Did you by any chance post on our support forums to get help with your issue?

    https://siteorigin.com/thread/

Most of the time the issue comes down to a plugin conflict issue. So running a simple plugin conflict test is all that’s needed. Our team is able to solve most issues that come up. Either way, all the data is stored in your database and in WordPress revisions system. So completely losing all your content is virtually impossible. Fixing the plugin conflict will always restore your content.

As for the export content feature you requested. This is possible using 3 methods. Either the WordPress exporter, the duplicator plugin.

    https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/exporting-content/

The last option is the Import/Export tool. Just click on Layouts in the Page Builder toolbar, then go to the Import/Export section.

Again, sorry to hear your experience was so bad. Good luck with your standard HTML layouts.

Any way to update my review, I decided to update the plugin since I saw you were there to support in case I needed to ask any questions.

The update went smoothly, and you did reply with assurance quickly.

    Hello Greg,

Would you please clarify a couple of things for me as I’m not too familiar with how things work:
    1. In what cases it’s safe to update SiteOrigin theme and Page Builder, and when I may loose data?
    2. What exactly does “Removed course toolbar links.” mean in the description of the new Page Builder update?

    Thanks a lot!
