Interested in potentially using Ninja Scanner Premium on quite a few sites (for scheduled scans). However I’m testing the free version on two sites, and the scans don’t seem to run.

Tested on another site and it just get’s stuck on step 9/10 every time, here’s the final parts of that log:

Any ideas why, and how to fix this?

Both sites are on different hosting. Site 2 is on a VPS.

The second scan is likely a issue with PHP memory limit or execution time. Check this post (look in the “The scanning process does not terminate” section): https://blog.nintechnet.com/ninjascanner-troubleshooting/

Regarding the first scan, it stops after 1 second only and when trying to download the WordPress zip file. Can you try to disable “Settings > Advanced Users Settings > Compare WordPress core files to their original package” and run the scan to see if it still stop after one second? If it does, then disable the two other options from the “File integrity checker” section and try again. That will show whether there’s an connection issue or not.

Thanks for the reply.

Managed to fix the scan for “site 2” by increasing the memory limit and execution time.

Try to enable debugging in WordPress with the WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG constants as indicated in the https://blog.nintechnet.com/ninjascanner-troubleshooting/ post. Then run a scan and check the /wp-content/debug.log if there’s anything related to this issue.
