Scanning displays severity issues getting error when itrying to delete

    Hi may i please have some advice with regards to the following issue message:
    File contains suspected malware URL: /home/access78/public_html/wp-content/cache/object/000000/0d0/d8e/0d0d8e01365741d085245fb28a70306b.php

    Filename: wp-content/cache/object/000000/0d0/d8e/0d0d8e01365741d085245fb28a70306b.php
    Bad URL: https://203koko.eu/hjnfh/ipframe2.php
    File type: Not a core, theme or plugin file.
    Issue first detected: 6 hours 12 mins ago.
    Severity: Critical
    Status New

    But When i attempt to go to the plugin section saying :
    “Tools: Delete this file (can’t be undone)” and click on it to delete it returns a box message saying the following:

    “An error occurred
    An invalid file was requested for deletion”.

    I went into the Cpanel to search for the file but could not find anything. I’m panicking as Ive never encountered this problem before. Any assistance would be extremely appreciated.

    Hi wslade,
    No i don’t – only have the SEO by Yoast plugin however i do have the Google webmaster tools activated through SEO plugin.

    Recently, Wordfence found this same URL and it’s associated text on a site I was repairing. It turned out to be part of a RSS feed from Yoast’s Google Analytics plugin installed on that site and was not dangerous. But this file was not located in the same place as the one you found.

    I believe the file your Wordfence found was a cached page or a part of one. I also don’t think the file you listed would have a long life. Possibly the reason you can’t delete it is that it no longer exists. You might prove my theory by removing the warning and scanning again. If it’s gone, Wordfence won’t find it on subsequent scans.

    Take a screen print of the warning message or somehow capture all the information on the warning before you delete it. I hate for someone to ask me somthing like “what exactly was the error message” after I have deleted it. ??

    Even if the file was a cached page I would still like to know why that URL was cached. Maybe someone will stop in and answer that for both or us.

    Hi wslade,
    Thank you very much for your kind assistance. I followed your advise and you are 100% correct. When i scanned again, the warning did not return. I Maybe i have the W3 Total Cache plugin or Cloudflare set to cache RSS, not sure but will definitely have to review all my settings and see. Once again, thank you for your interest, your time and advice is extremely appreciated. Cheers ??
