Scan won’t go past 1000 links

You are probably reaching the job timeout. Give a try as the community fork that I put together with some other people has better batch job management (resumes past the timeouts better). I have requested already to take over managing this plugin – my fork does not have a separate internal designation in the WP universe. The DB schema is about the same in terms of recording whether links are checked.

Otherwise you can try changing the PHP timeout values in your environment.

Thanks! I just gave this a try but no luck either. Is there a way I can clear all the data from this plugin stored in the database and try reinstalling fresh?

Sorry to hear its not working for you. Yes you can truncate the database tables and it should start over. They all start with “blc”.

Ahh tried that but still no luck. Do you know of any alternative plugins or options to search for broken links and remove them in bulk?

Nothing I’ve used is a strong contender. I wonder if you can identify, does it always stop at exactly the same link or not? Perhaps there is some unique glitch like a strange unicode character.

Broken Link Checker has been taken over by WPMU DEV team and we have released a new version earlier today, I checked it with 4.000 URLs and didn’t experience any issues.

Can you give new version a try and let us know if it works for you?
