Scan is failing to start. I have tried remote scan. In diagnostic tab Checking basic config reading/writing under Wordfence Config Ability to save Wordfence settings to the database is marked red

  • Hi @geekgyan!

The check that’s failing indicates a problem writing to and reading from the database. Does the server user that your WordPress installation is running as have the necessary permissions to the database? You can see database permissions listed in diagnostics as well.

If the permissions are OK then you can try removing all Wordfence tables and do a fresh install to see if that helps. If you are not familiar with using phpMyAdmin to remove database tables, you can use the Wordfence Assistant plugin to do this.

    Hope that helps!
