Scan stops during analyzing files

    The scan stops during analyzing the files and ends with the error “Scan failed”.

    “How much memory should Wordfence request when scanning” is set to 256.

    “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” is set to 20.

    The installation uses PHP 7.4. On the server memory_limit is set to 256, max_execution_time to 120.

    What else can I try?

  • Hi there,

    If you could do the following steps for me:

    Go to the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page

    In the “Debugging Options” section check the circle “Enable debugging mode”

    Click to “Save Changes”

    CANCELany current scan and start a NEW scan?

    Copy the last 20 lines from the Log (click the “Show Log” link) or so of the activity log once the scan finishes and paste them in this post.

    This will help me see exactly what is happening when the scan fails.

    Now it works.

    Because I wrote about the problem to the hoster it could be that he changed something, for example firewall settings.
