    Hi

Try setting that to 10 and see how far along that gets.

If I set it to “10” it stalls already at 200 files (last time I got at least to 3000)…

I sort of think one problem might be that 3 scans seem to run at the same time!

    • It compares WordPress files against repository
    • It compares Plugins against originals
    • And it scans for malware

The first 2 for sure need fast connection to www.remarpro.com server to get data, and I don’t know (but assume) malware signatures are also pulled from an outside server. Why do you run all these scans at once, all three needing two-way connections to the internet?

One more thing to try. Can you try checking start scans remotely on the options page? Try a scan again and see how far that gets. Set the max execution time to whatever you had it before when it got to 3000 files. Not sure if you said how much memory it was set to use, but try entering in 128 if something higher wasn’t already set.

Theres also a box to check for debug mode on the options page that logs more thoroughly. Lets try that if the above does not work. Its puts more load on the server so you might want to try this off hours. Then you can have the activity log emailed to email it to me at tim [at] wordfence.com
