I have 39 files reported by WordFence as different from the files that are normally included in JetPack. Example:

    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/jetpack/languages/json/jetpack-hr.json
    Type: File
    Issue Found June 6, 2018 3:02 pm
    Warning

The diffs appear minor. In the above example this is in the “modified version” of the file:

Show a thumbnail image where available”:[null,””],”

Is the problem that WordFence hasn’t updated its database or is it possible that something weird is happening?

  • Hi,

We are aware of this issue with Jetpack and are investigating what is causing it. We will respond again soon when we have an update.

The same thing happened to me.

Also 39 jetpack files and 3 Adrotate files.

When I open wordfence to see the modification, it says that there was no modification in the file. This is strange

    Is there any solution yet?

@kboyte — Jetpack developer here, feel free to reach out if we can help answer any questions.

@oskosk and @kboyte — thanks for quick replies. Looking forward to hearing what’s up here.

@dangillmor, The problem has been fixed. If you rescan, you shouldn’t see those issues reported anymore.

@oskosk, Thanks for the offer to help, much appreciated! The scan for file changes checks files against a copy of the www.remarpro.com repository. When it does this check, it checks against a specific version number. In this case, a mismatch happened there. We have fixed this by forcing a refresh on our data. We will also continue to work on this to prevent it from happening again but believe it’s an issue on our side that caused it.

Thanks for your rapid response @kboyte!
