    Hello –

We get email notifications about how there’s critical problems with plugins and it mentions the plugin is removed.

    Critical Problems:

    * The Plugin "Testimonial Rotator" has been removed from www.remarpro.com.

How do we disable Wordfence from automatically removing the plugin? Can we make it just notify us?

    Thanks.

Hi @vd191212, thanks for getting in touch!

When a plugin has been removed from the www.remarpro.com repository, therefore meaning you can no longer download it from the “Add New” option in WordPress itself, it will be marked as a critical problem. Sometimes plugins may be removed because the developer is no longer able to work on them, but they are also sometimes removed because an unpatched vulnerability has been found. This possibility is why Wordfence will warn you of a critical problem.

Just because the plugin has been removed by WordPress, does not mean that Wordfence will automatically delete it on your behalf. The critical warning is there to prompt you to either disable it, or find an active alternative for that plugin that performs the same function(s) but is actively maintained on the plugin repository to ensure the ongoing security of your site.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
