The site scanner of my hosting company site ground picked this up from the install I did on wordpress the other day and labeled it a malicious code found. I was forced to delete the file as per contract with them. I don’t know if it was a line of code that was misinterpreted or that the files were compromised. . Just a heads up if it was.

    Hi M8trix,

Don’t worry about it. This files has virus signatures to help to catch malware.
If you delete the file (functions_scan.php), you are unable to run our scan.

I suggest you explain to them and if they are unable to understand, maybe is time to change to new hosting.

Our free plugin WPTOOLS can make a benchmark of your hosting.

    Cheers,
    Bill
