    Hi There

I’ve noticed on several WP installations that the “Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns (one per line)” box seems to be automatically populated to varying extents.

The documentation (https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/options/#exclude-files) doesn’t seem to mention anything about this, so that can be a little disorienting.

Might be helpful to add a note.

Great plugin, thanks for your work.

    Hi,
Only if the scan didn’t complete successfully, some files might be added to the excluded files list, those are most likely the ones the scan got stuck at while running, thanks for your suggestion regarding adding this note to the docs site, this has been noted.

    Thanks.

    OK thanks wfalaa

So sounds like best option would be to remove all those entries if I haven’t added them manually?

You can clear this list for sure, but after sometime you might end up with a couple of entries added to the list again as I clarified in my previous reply.

    Thanks.
