I noticed my site had been hacked, I thought I’d fixed it, but when I went back in to do a scan, the scan button doesn’t do anything. I click it and nothing happens. I also can’t change any scan settings. I’ve deleted the plugin, and even gone in and deleted the tables to do a fresh install, still no dice. It’s weird.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @rick435, thanks for getting in touch and sorry to see you’ve had problems with a site hack.

I am more than happy to provide extra site cleaning instructions to ensure you’ve covered all bases, or indeed look into the specific scan button problem a little deeper, but in many cases with disabled Wordfence buttons it can be as simple as a Javascript conflict with a theme or plugin.

Could you possibly check this first by disabling all plugins except for Wordfence and reverting to a default theme? If the scan button reactivates, enable your plugins and theme one-by-one until the problem reoccurs. This might point to a specific cause of the button being deactivated.

If you have no luck there, let me know.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
