Hi, i have this problem with my wordfence scan,

The scan has failed because we were unable to contact the Wordfence servers. Some sites may need adjustments to run scans reliably.

The error returned was: There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 28: Failed to connect to noc1.wordfence.com port 443: Connection timed out

I followed the instruciont to solve it but nothing happens. Can you please help?

Hi @silviamancii thanks for your message.

With cURL error 28, check the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page and refresh it a number of times while looking at the “Connecting to Wordfence servers” and “Connecting back to this site“. Does the connectivity error come and go? If it does, it’s probably linked to the resources available to your site, especially if it’s on a shared server.

However, if the site never seems to be able to connect, and you have a shell on the server, try running curl -v https://noc1.wordfence.com/ and send us the output. You may need your network administrator or host to perform this check – ultimately to see whether communications to our server are being blocked.

Let us know how you get on!
    Peter.

Hi Peter, i have open a ticket with my hosting provider and they give me back a positive answer saying that server side is ok.

    And YES now it’s working!

    Thank you

    Best,

    Silvia
