Hi, I’m installing WordFence to a new site. I cannot get a scan to complete.
    I have WordPress 5.3, WordFence 7.4.1 running a Divi Theme 4.0.4
I have searched this forum and find that this is a common problem but non of the suggestions I have tried have worked. I have currently re-installed WordFence with default values now and disabled all other plugins.
The scan freezes after a few seconds during the scan, The last log entry in the most recent run is: Analyzed 1100 files containing 11.05 MB of data so far.
Each run freezes in a different place. Enabling WordFence Debug option confirms that the scan freezes whilst analysing a different file each run. The scan eventually fails with the message as per the title of this post after the default timeout. Extending the timeout period merely means it takes longer to fail.
I have WordPress debug option enabled and I notice that the following multiple errors are reported in the WordPress debug.log file:
WordPress database error Commands out of sync; you can’t run this command now for query insert into xxxxxxxxx_wfStatus.

I’d love some help to resolve this as, otherwise, I really like WordFence and rely on it across multiple sites.

Let me know if you would like more detailed logs etc.

    Thanks in advance, Jerry

    Hey @jerrystewart99,

Can you please also check your PHP error logs for any relevant errors?

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hey @jerrystewart99,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
