    Faced this error when the website is trying to scan.

    Scan Failed
    The scan has failed because we were unable to contact the Wordfence servers. Some sites may need adjustments to run scans reliably. Click here for steps you can try.(opens in new tab)

    The error returned was:

    There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 28: Failed to connect to noc1.wordfence.com port 443: Connection timed out

    Will submit the diagnostic log.

    Hi @shaominchua, thanks for sending your diagnostic over.

    I can’t see any connectivity issues when connecting to our servers or back to your site, so the timeout in connecting to our servers for the scan doesn’t seem to be explained by a clear cause.

    Have you already tried starting scans remotely from the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Debugging Options section? If not, please do so. There are also some further troubleshooting tips to try at: https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/troubleshooting/
