Scan Failed :
The current scan looks like it has failed. Its last status update was 5minutes ago. you may continue to wait in case it resumes or stop and restart the scan. some sites may need adjustments to run scans reliably.

I’m getting this same whenever I try to scan my website.
I also asked my hosting company to increase my max execution. They have increased it to 240 but still facing the same problem.
Kindly help me to solve this.

Hi @digitalbusinessidea,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please try the following steps:
- Stop the existing scan if it is still running (The “Start New Scan” button turns into a “Stop” button while the scan is running).
- Go to your Wordfence > Scan > Manage Scan and locate the “Performance Options” section. Set “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” to 20.
- Select “Save Changes.”
- Go to the Tools > Diagnostics page.
- In the “Debugging Options” section, select “Enable debugging mode.”
- If “Start scan remotely” is checked, uncheck this option.
- Select “Save Changes.”
- Start a new scan on the Scan page.
If the scan fails again, copy the last 20 lines or so from the Log (select the “Show Log” link) once the scan finishes and paste them in the post.

Hi @digitalbusinessidea,

Check and make sure that you have not blocked access to the “wp-admin” directory with a “.htaccess” file or limited access to it via another method. If you have, make sure to allow your server’s IP address to access this directory.

Also, check if you have Memcache running on your server. Memcache may have to be restarted twice in order for the object cache to remove the saved Wordfence scan cronkey.
